It was recently reported that a construction worker in New York was injured while on the job. The man was apparently an elevator mechanic and fell down an elevator shaft. Two workers also on the scene jumped in to help the man. They initially feared the worst and suspected the man might have died as a result of the incident. However, after paramedics arrived at the scene, the man showed signs of life. Reports stated that the man had started working on the site only the day before the accident.
As this case shows, construction accidents can be extremely harrowing events. Though it was unclear what exact injuries the man suffered, he was undoubtedly seriously affected by the incident.
