Peter J. De Frank hails from Essex County and grew up in Nutley, New Jersey. Since beginning his legal practice in 2008, he has contributed to some of the largest civil verdicts and settlements in the state. Notably, in 2009, he was involved in three of the top twenty verdicts and settlements in New Jersey. Peter's expertise spans motor vehicle accidents, premises liability (slip and falls), trucking accidents, brain injury cases, and negligent security cases.

In 2011, Peter became one of the youngest members of the esteemed “Million Dollar Advocates Forum” after securing a $1,050,000 settlement in a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident case, earning this recognition before turning thirty. Membership in this prestigious group includes fewer than 1% of lawyers.

Since then, Peter has consistently delivered exceptional results for his clients through trials and complex litigation. His recent achievements include some of New Jersey's largest verdicts. In September 2022, he obtained a $2,400,000 verdict for a client with a herniated disc who was rear-ended in a motor vehicle accident. This case was among the first in New Jersey to seek relief under the new “New Jersey Insurance Fair Conduct Act,” after the defense made no pre-trial offer.

Also, in September 2022, Peter achieved a $4,550,000 verdict for a special needs woman who fell on a dance floor. Despite no pre-trial offer from the defense, which involved several attorneys, the case was co-counseled with Laddey, Clark and Ryan in Sparta.

Peter has been recognized by his peers in 'New Jersey Super Lawyers' every year since his third year of practice and has been named among the “Top 40 Under 40.” He takes pride in achieving positive outcomes in challenging and complex civil cases, often where insurance companies made no settlement offers and other attorneys or firms declined the cases due to their difficulty.

Attorney Peter J. De Frank is passionate about personal injury law and treats each case as a privilege.
