A momentary mishap could easily lead to the lives of many individuals being changed forever. Motor vehicle accidents often take place due to an error on the part of a driver, and unsuspecting travelers are often caught in the middle. Such incidents can often lead to tragic outcomes, and some families may find themselves looking for answers.

The family of a 13-year-old individual may be in such a predicament after a recent crash in New York. Reports stated that a 74-year-old woman had been traveling south when she attempted to make a left turn. During the turn, her vehicle collided with another car that was traveling north. There were at least four people in the northbound vehicle, including the teenager.

An EMT passing through the area came upon the crash and attempted to help. Unfortunately, the 13-year-old passenger suffered fatal injuries and passed away at the scene. The other individuals injured in the incident were treated at an area hospital. It was unclear what the extent of those injuries were. Additional information on the incident may be provided at a later time.

Motor vehicle accidents can have catastrophic results, and this collision was no exception. The family of the teenager is undoubtedly devastated by the outcome of the crash. If they wish to seek compensation for their loss and other damages stemming from the incident that are permitted under New York law, they may wish to find out more information on wrongful death claims. Speaking with an experienced attorney may prove useful in such an endeavor.
