New York Motor Vehicle Accidents Often Result In Serious Outcomes

Most people get into vehicles as passengers with the trust that the driver will get them home safely. However, not all drivers take this responsibility as seriously as they should and take the risk of getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. Alcohol was considered a factor in a recent crash that took place in New York. Reports stated that the incident involved only one vehicle that had the driver and three passengers as occupants. The car was traveling north when the driver lost control and hit a concrete barrier. The vehicle then struck a parked construction vehicle that was unoccupied at the time of the incident. The crash resulted in all four vehicle occupants suffering injuries. One man’s injuries proved fatal. He was reported as being 30 years old. The extent of the other individuals’ injuries were not detailed in the report. The driver of the car — also a 30-year-old man — is currently facing charges for DWI, vehicular manslaughter, assault and refusal to take a breath test.
