Anyone could be traveling a seemingly average route when a sudden accident takes place. Motor vehicle accidents often occur when drivers least expect it, and when those incidents involve motorcyclists, the situations can quickly become serious. Unfortunately, most motorcyclists involved in car crashes end up facing severe injuries, and that was the outcome for one man in New York.

Reports stated that the incident involved a motorcycle and another vehicle as the motorcyclist was heading south. A driver traveling north attempted to make a left turn, and as a result, the car collided with the motorcycle. The driver of the car was reported as being a 63-year-old woman, and the motorcyclist was reported as being 58 years old.

Though the man was wearing a helmet, he still suffered severe injuries to his lower extremities. He was taken from the scene to an area hospital to receive treatment. The woman driving the other vehicle did not suffer any injuries. An investigation into the incident was still ongoing at the time of the report, but it was disclosed that drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the event.

Victims of severe motor vehicle accidents can face substantial life changes after suffering serious injuries. The man injured in this New York accident may find himself contemplating how he will attend to his injuries and the financial impacts this event may have. Luckily, he does have the right to pursue legal action against the woman considered at fault if he would like to seek compensation for his injuries and other damages.
