Fatal Car Accidents Can Happen Suddenly In New York

On behalf of Licatesi Law Group, LLP posted in motor vehicle accidents on Monday, December 18, 2017.
Fatalities can have different impacts on families depending on how they occur. If the death is the result of a long illness, for example, parties may have had time to properly prepare. However, many individuals face sudden losses due to car accidents, and finding the best way to handle the outcomes can prove difficult. Often, grief and injuries suffered by surviving individuals also play an important role in decisions made after such an event. It was recently reported that an accident in New York had fatal outcomes. Apparently, a 27-year-old woman was driving a vehicle with her 4-year-old son and two young girls as passengers. Their vehicle was heading north when it was hit by a southbound vehicle. It was unclear what exactly caused the collision to occur. The young boy suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. It was noted that he was in a child seat at the time of the incident. The woman, a 5-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were all considered to be in critical but stable condition at the time of the report. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured in the crash. The woman is undoubtedly feeling immense grief over the loss of her son as well as dealing with her own physical pain from the injuries she suffered. If the other driver involved in this New York incident is considered at fault, the woman may wish to consider filing legal claims against him. Just as with any other individuals affected by similar car accidents, information on personal injury and wrongful death claims may help her determine whether taking such action could suit her circumstances.
